CHARITY OFFERS COUPLE THE CHANCE TO WIN A DREAM WEDDING – OR TO GET TO RE-NEW THEIR VOWS IN A VERY SPECIAL YEAR FOR LANCASHIRE
Couples from across Lancashire are being invited to win the wedding of their dreams – all you have to do is describe why you believe you – or someone close to you – is worthy of this amazing prize.
Both couples who have never previously been married and couples who are maybe married but would like to re-live their special day with friends and family are all encouraged to enter.
The prize package, being put together by Age Concern Central Lancashire as it celebrates its 40th anniversary year in 2021, includes an unforgettable wedding at a prestigious Lancashire venue, a wedding cake, photography, flowers and even help finding the dream wedding dress, a groom’s outfit and bridesmaids/pageboys attire.
Suzanne Carr, CEO at Age Concern Central Lancashire, said: “We decided to launch this competition for a couple to win either the wedding they had always dreamed of – or a special renewal of their vows – as we celebrate our 40th anniversary.
“The next 12 months are a very important time for us and we want as many people as possible to join in with the celebrations. We are keen to hear everyone’s stories about why they believe they should be chosen – or why someone close to them should be!
“Age is just a number. . It could be that someone doesn’t have full memories of their wedding day all those years ago and this would be the perfect opportunity for them to enter this competition and re-new their vows in a very special way and during a very significant year for Age Concern, who specialise in support for people living with dementia and memory concerns.
“As a charity we have supported many couples living with dementia throughout the pandemic. Many couples have faced extreme challenges within their own homes during lockdown and we want to give one couple an experience to relive those special memories, and have something positive to look forward to.”
