Carers Dementia Workshop
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
This interactive and informative dementia workshop will help to raise awareness and understanding, so that people living with dementia may be understood and that care and support can be improved.
Age Concern Central Lancashire is therefore committed to improving awareness and the quality of training regarding dementia in order to accelerate understanding, enhance standards and ultimately enrich the quality of life of those affected.

The 2 hour workshop will include:
• Topics aimed at carers including communication, carers support and practical solutions
• Delivered by Dementia Specialists with real life experience.
• Interactive workshop element – to give a feeling of what dementia may feel like
• Workshop Certificate
• Age Concern Central Lancashire pin badge
** Please note these workshops will be dependent on minimum numbers. If this isn’t reached refunds will be given and the training cancelled or reorganised for an alternative time and date. **
The workshop has been developed and adapted so it can be delivered in line with government guidelines. Measures can be discussed with us directly on booking. Masks must be worn at all times, social distancing will be in place and hand sanitiser will be provided.
The training was very informative, a lot better than dementia friends. I learned a lot more in 2 and a half hours with the ladies in oppose to spending a full day with dementia friends.
