Our Heritage

Regenerage have a longstanding reputation in the local community. We have been established for over 40 years and we are proud to be recognised as leaders in providing much-needed services to older people and their carers.

Regenerage began as Age Concern Preston in 1981. In 1987 our name changed to Age Concern Preston and South Ribble District, then in 2009 we became Age Concern Central Lancashire, a more inclusive name for the wide area we provide services to. Now, as Regenerage, we remain committed to our mission of supporting our community and encouraging healthy aging, with even more energy and dedication.

Over our 40-year history, our charity has:

  • Spent £42,400,000 on charitable activities in Lancashire supporting older people.
  • Supported over 1 million people.
  • Received support from over 11,000 volunteers contributing over 1.2 million volunteer hours to the charity, equating to over £10.6million pounds.
  • Secured over £10million in benefits for older people that will have been spent within the local economy.
